To All Students Interested in the research and clinical aspects of Newborn Medicine:
The Summer Student Research Program is sponsored by the Harvard Program in Neonatology, an academic program which includes Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). The objective of the Summer Student Research Program is to provide motivated students with an intensive laboratory and clinical research experience under the guidance of Faculty and Fellow mentors from the Academic Program. The Summer Program experience includes:
- An 8-12 week program of:
- Observation of newborn care in hospital nurseries, clinics, and NICUs
- Bench, clinical/translational, or epidemiological research
- Weekly tutorials
- Supervision and guidance provided by faculty and fellow mentors
